Terms of Service

Last updated: April 2025

1. Acceptance

By creating a DevEcho account or using any DevEcho service, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you are using DevEcho on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these terms.

2. Description of service

DevEcho reads commit metadata from GitHub repositories you connect and uses AI to generate plain-English work item summaries, reports, and digest emails. The service is provided "as is" and is subject to change.

3. Account responsibilities

  • You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
  • You must not share your account with others; each person must have their own account.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must notify us immediately at security@devecho.app if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Acceptable use

You must not use DevEcho to:

  • Violate any law or regulation.
  • Connect repositories you do not have permission to access.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise extract data from the service in bulk.
  • Interfere with the security or integrity of the service.
  • Resell or sublicense access to the service without our written permission (except as permitted for Agency plan white-labelling).

5. Payment and billing

  • Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance.
  • All prices are in USD and exclusive of applicable taxes.
  • We use Stripe for payment processing. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe's terms.
  • You can cancel at any time from billing settings. You retain access until the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial periods.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.

6. Intellectual property

You retain ownership of your data (commits, reports, etc.). By using DevEcho, you grant us a limited licence to process your data solely to provide the service. DevEcho's software, design, and brand are our intellectual property. You may not use our trademarks without written permission.

7. AI-generated content

Work item summaries and reports are generated by AI and may contain errors or inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated content before acting on it or sharing it externally. We are not liable for decisions made based on AI-generated content.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DevEcho's total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

9. Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee any specific uptime. We may perform maintenance that temporarily interrupts the service. We will attempt to give advance notice of planned downtime.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, with or without notice depending on severity. You may close your account at any time from Account Settings. On termination, your data will be deleted per our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to terms

We may update these terms. We will notify you by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
